My name is Allison Lebo. I graduated from North Royalton High School in 2014, and I am a senior, Early Childhood Education major at Kent State University. I am in my fifth, and final, semester of their teacher preparation program. I realized I wanted to go into teaching during my junior year of high school. Going into my senior year, I became a student helper who assisted high school children with disabilities. This opened my eyes into working with children, and later led me to volunteering at the Autism Society of Greater Cleveland Summer Camp. Although my major is Early Childhood Education, I hope to obtain a Master’s Degree in Special Education. Currently, I am a student teacher in a mixed-age, preschool classroom at Kent State’s Child Development Center, where I hope to continue building the skills necessary to succeed as an educator. Education is something I hold near and dear to my heart and plan on dedicating my life to. My time at Kent State University is only the beginning of a fulfilling journey.
